Kimberly M. Roberts has a deep love for the Caribbean, its music, and culture. She has traveled to the Caribbean several times to learn more about the islands and immerse herself in the culture of Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, St. Martin, Barbados, St. Kitts, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, St. Lucia, and Antigua. Her longest time was spent on the island of Barbados when she traveled with the Barbados Carolina Legacy Foundation and the SC National Heritage Corridor to learn more about the connection between this Caribbean island and her state of South Carolina. Mrs. Roberts is also the first recipient of the "Community Award" presented by the South Carolina Caribbean Culture and Heritage, Inc.
Mrs. Roberts offers several programs both music and literary where she is able to include information about the Caribbean in kid-friendly, age appropriate ways.
